2025

CLASH is an art project that merges the physical and digital worlds to challenge traditional boundaries. CLASH explores the intersection of queer identity, technology, and artistic expression.

This collaborative endeavor brings together artists, including fashion designers, performers, stage designers, and 3D artists. Each contributor infuses their unique perspective. By reimagining how we perceive clothing, performance, and identity, CLASH seeks to provoke thought and inspire new dialogues.

Founded by Alejandro Spano in 2023, the first edition took place at DOCK11, Berlin. The second edition will happen in 2025 and showcase a hybrid fashion film that combines digital garments and stages with real performers.

These individuals are passionate about fashion, art, and design, often drawn to experimental and boundary-pushing works that challenge conventional narratives and aesthetics.

CLASH's audience thrives on the intersection of disciplines. They are likely to be early adopters of new technologies and concepts, making them an ideal group to appreciate the fusion of digital garments, live performance, and storytelling that CLASH embodies.

The story behind CLASH

CLASH begins as part of another project named Itar Pas, a virtual character that lives isolated in their virtual reality. They feel curiosity about the real world but since they can't go there, they decide to bring small pieces from the real world to theirs.

For the first edition, five performers were invited to participate. They had to think of an idea that will be the main concept of the picture where they were going to be seen. The starting point was "What would you bring from your world to Itar's world that you think they need to know?"

After having these five concepts, we added fashion designers who had relations with it, as well as stage designers. All performers, sculptures, and 3D clothes were scanned to build the scenes.

Five musicians were invited to participate as well. They made a short music clip for each one of the videos with a basic leitmotiv that was given to them to use it the way each musician wanted.
